Central European Gambling Summit 20 postponed due to danger of coronavirus infection, extended to more than 18 EU countries.
As from March 2, the risk level for coronavirus in the European Union has gone from moderate to high, as stated by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, all companies in this region have taken action prevention and drastically reduced the number of trips, and employees who are obliged to travel must, on return to be isolated for 14 days.
This fact makes it impossible for foreign moderators and speakers to be present at Central European Gambling Summit 20 – CEGS20 between March 10 and 11.
At the same time, the Romanian representatives also expressed their concern about participating in such a major event during this difficult period when the spread of the COVID-19 virus has spread to 18 of the European Union states and continues to expand.
Taking all these aspects into consideration, the organizers of CEGS20 have decided to postpone the event to a new date announced in the shortest time.
The decision was made in accordance with the warnings and information of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, but also with the direct agreement of the Supporting Partners of CEGS20.
