Central European Gambling Summit at its 11th edition – CEGS23 –
Proceedings of the conference
The only combined event (exhibition & conference), dedicated to the gambling industry, which takes place annually in Romania, the Central European Gambling Summit, took place on May 23-24 at Magic Place Grant in Bucharest.
More than 125 participants from 10 countries exceeded the capacity of the conference room and attended the debates, on topics of great topicality and wide interest, held by the more than 40 guest speakers and moderators.
The success of the event was also demonstrated at the end of the second day of conferences when, in the hall, there were about 100 people, knowing that, as a rule, on the second day of an event of this kind, a little over half of the number of participants since the opening.
It should be noted the openness of the National Office for Gambling, which, through its vice-president Silviu Pocora, actively participated in two panels on the conference agenda and answered all the questions asked by those present.
At the same time, another particularly important fact was the participation, on the second day of the CEGS23 works, of Mr. Mihai Botez, Deputy USR, the initiator of the project that foresees the distance of 300 meters between the gaming halls and various social objectives. He, in his ad hoc speech, expressed his desire for dialogue and information in order to create a legislative proposal that would help and in no way confuse.

The exhibition
The B2B boutique style exhibition also took place over the course of two days, an event that enjoyed success, having a 25% larger area than the previous edition, with 12% more companies participating as exhibitors.
Casino Party on the first night
The first evening of the event was when the well-known club Gilda Music Lounge in the Old Town hosted the socializing party of CEGS23.
With this background of the good disposition, a richly assorted menu and a comprehensive palette of drinks, the more than 50 invited guests were able to socialize and enjoy the program made available by the organizers.
In this particularly pleasant environment, the two traditional awards were granted: the Award for the Best Partner of CEGS23 and the Award for the Best Presentation at CEGS23.
The award for the Best Partner of CEGS23 was granted to BMM testlabs, Diamond Partner of this year’s edition.
The award for the Best Presentation at CEGS23 was granted, as was normal judging both by the devices presented and by the size of the booth, to the NOVOMATIC company.
