The annual Entertainment Arena Expo ended recently. What are the first impressions after this 14th edition?
The resumption of EArena after a 3-year break was without a doubt the event of the year in the gambling industry. Although somewhat smaller than in previous years and with some small organizational problems, inherent after such a long break, enthusiasm was at its highest. I felt this from the dual position I had at this exhibition, exhibitor and visitor.
As an exhibitor I can say without hesitation that it was a success. It is the first time that I had my own stand at EArena and the pace of visiting the stand and the great interest generated by the products developed on the Net4Media digital signage platform exceeded our expectations.
As a visitor, I first of all appreciated the presence of ONJN. The openness to dialogue of ONJN representatives, especially in the context of the recent legislative and fiscal changes, was certainly one of the strong points of the exhibition. And I am not only referring to the participation of the ONJN leadership in the event that traditionally accompanies EArena, the Exact Time in Gambling, but also to the interactions with all ONJN representatives present both at the dedicated stand and among the exhibitors. If we also add here their interest in knowing the new trends in the gambling industry, the problems encountered by the organizers as well as the suppliers of products and services, I can affirm without hesitation that the current ONJN management understands its role well.

This year’s exhibition was a welcome event for all who attended.
After 2 very difficult years and a period with many changes and challenges for the gambling industry, the desire to socialize, exchange ideas and at the same time explore new opportunities gave an interesting dynamic to the event.
It is also worth noting the participation of some companies that have never participated before, which shows the increased interest in the Romanian market, which is constantly maturing.

Edition no. 14 of EArena Expo was highly anticipated, being the first in Romania in the gambling category after a break of over 2 years due to the pandemic, not only by new exhibitors, but also by visitors, that is, people interested in development. Personally, EasyPay exhibited completely new terminal models, a range fresh that meets the new requirements and trends of the market, namely much more design modern and monitors from 24″ to 32″, requirements that we successfully meet by having our own production factory. As for the results of the exhibition, we met with old friends and collaborators, all customers visited us to view and test the new models, and on this occasion we also attracted new companies that we will support on the way to development.

However, I can’t help but notice that the fair has shrunk, I expected there to be more exhibitors and visitors, but maybe the pandemic is still on our minds. I saw some new equipment at most of the exhibitors but I was impressed by two in particular, namely the blackjack terminal from Interblock and the Fazi automatic roulette from the Novomatic stand.
The 9th edition of the Exact Time in Gambling had, as usual, topical topics and valuable guests; I salute the ONJN for its presence at the event as well as at the exhibition. I hope that he will continue to keep close to us.

This year, after 2 years of “abstinence”, the EAE exhibition was expected with even more desire for a “face to face” farewell from the “actors”, exhibitors and visitors/operators together.
The presence of the most representative exhibitors for the gambling market in our country was in corpore.
As if to balance the existing balance or the desired supremacy, the largest as market shares or strategically positioned at the extremes of the exhibition space.
This year the “passing” was not only on the presented equipment (slot machines of course predominantly) but also on their degree/stage of offering/completion in order to comply with the new technical norms, mandatory at least for manufacturers to be able to sell them , from the summer of next year.
As always, the legislative framework specific to the industry, which is always a stress factor full of unpredictability, was also a hot topic of discussion among those present at this edition.
It is true that in a pleasant setting of female presences that had the role of relaxing the atmosphere and sprinkled with various tastings with which the exhibitors or used to spoil us.
AOPJNR did not intend to publicize at its own stand the action of interest to the majority of operators, the open letter addressed to the decision-makers in order to signal the need to correct some of the “shock provisions” recently adopted and which “shake” the industry, through the normative act OG 15.
Of interest and welcome was, as every year, the “Exact Time in Gambling” seminar, organized by Casino Life and Business Magazine.
Of course, its format can be improved in future years, we are convinced that the organizer will be receptive to proposals in this regard.

From BMM Testlabs Romania perspective, the 2022 edition of Expo ARENA was an eagerly awaited and welcomed event. We were happy with the large number of visitors, businessmen in the gambling field who had the opportunity to see again each other after the complicated period of 2 years generated by Covid-19 pandemics and its effects.
BMM Testlabs Romania was, as in the previous years as well, on the list of the first preferences of operators in the gambling field, culminating in the launch of the first Type Approval made in partnership with BAUM Company, complying with the technical requirements of Order 404, thus, pointing out a new beginning in the certification of slot machines.
We thank all our partners who, one again, confirmed and emphasized their wish to continue the high quality business relationships with BMM Testlabs Romania.

The recently concluded edition of EARENA 2022 was an excellent opportunity for us to meet again with customers, partners and friends of the PATIR brand after a more than complicated period.
Equally, it was the ideal context in which we could show off our newest chair models, designed with maximum care for the smallest details in the area of design, comfort and durability to make, as always, the difference.
The opinions of the visitors to our stand were unanimous and even if the period we are going through now is one with multiple challenges for all of us, we are confident that things will evolve towards a time of normality, of intense concern for business development.
