A good taste show in Sibiu

Feeric Fashion Days, the fifth edition

This is the most generous fashion show in Romania. Year after year, some of the best designers in the country and abroad ‚walk’ their fashion collections here. For a second time, our publication ‚Casino Life & Business Magazine’ was the media partner of this artistic event of a highest quality.

Feeric Fashion Days in Sibiu started on June 26. At its fifth edition, the show has changed a great deal compared to the previous ones, as it is longer and more diverse. While the other editions used to last for three days, the anniversary date for the festival called ‚Baroque’ was marked by an interval spread over 6 days, with fashion presentations at original sites. Six days of catwalk presentations, exhibitions, workshops and seminars in spectacular spaces. For a second time, our publication ‚Casino Life & Business Magazine’ takes a great pride in having been chosen a media partner to the most important fashion festival in our country, Feeric Fashion Days, a concept initiated by Mitichi Foundation and organized by Dumitru Preda ‚Mitichi’, one of the most appreciated fashion photographers.

The famous suspended catwalk

Like every year, the main focus of the event in Sibiu was the suspended catwalk in Mica Plaza, parallel with the Podul Minciunilor (Bridge of Lies). Here, the collections of the best designers in the festival were introduced to the curious audience. Every evening during the Gala, designers from Romania, Spain, Germany and the Republic of Moldova showed off their work – their number reached 20. For all six days, 40 models walked almost 3,000 meters on the catwalk, both in Mica Plaza and at close-by locations. The team behind the Feeric Fashion Days included 300 people, which is sure evidence for the importance of this event. And a number of 4,000 people were waited to attend the mega-event in Sibiu every evening.

Shows of excellence and premier nights

Josh Beaver, the baller dancer, Hi-Q band and the baROCK concert given by Adi Corlaciu, accompanied by classical music electrified the atmosphere. The audience enjoyed to the max the original fashion presentations – the one in the street car or at the flour mill, among others. Thus, for the first time in Sibiu, the Mica Plaza hosted an exhibition of photographs on translucent cubes. The fashion photographs were placed on 12 translucent cubes, each with a 2-meter side. The images were printed on a surface totalling 160 sqm – taken by photographers Oltiu Dogaru, Mike Wies and Andreea Retinschi.

Another memorable event was the painting exhibition of Lucian Bruma, presented in the open, on the wall of the medieval fortress in Sibiu.
