Victoria Elizabeth Coren was born in Hammersmith, United Kingdom. She is a writer, journalist and TV star – also she made history in the gambling world. The British contributes to a weekly column in well-known publications like ‚The Observer’ and ‘The Guardian’. She was the hostess of the ‘Only Connect’ show on BBC Four. Moreover, she is the author of the volumes ‘Love 16’ and ‘Once More, with Feeling’. Coren wrote her memoirs about poker game – ‘For Richer, For Poorer: A Love Affair with Poker’, published in 2009 and reedited in 2011.

First woman to win EPT

Victoria Coren joined the poker history in September 2006. This is when the British woman became the first woman to win the European Poker Tour in London. She cashed in a substantial prize of GBP500,000. Later on, she participated in other numerous tournaments, commented on gambling events or was invited to poker shows. She is a frequent Texas Hold’em player at Victoria Casino on Edgar Road in London. In 2008, her winnings from the live tournaments reached USD1.2 million. Victoria Coren is member of Team PokerStars Pro.
