After endless discussions, after endless analyzes in the Parliament Committees and after countless delays, Wednesday, May 6, the Gambling Law was voted in Parliament.
We have to remember that this law is based on Government Emergency Ordinance number 92 from 2014 but contain many additions and changes that had escaped the initiators.
Although the law has sparked much controversy, the fact that has been passed in Parliament, give new life to the gambling industry in Romania, the industry who waited more than a year for the legislation.
Important in this Law, in addition to social and economic aspects specific to the field, is the legalization of online gambling, games that will bring to the state budget an additional 100 million annually.
Also, the law regulates the live poker from both poker clubs and the dedicated events.
