The Club, at a new location but with its old and good habits…
PokeFest Club moves to a central location and marches on with the tournaments
PokerFest Club opened in September 2013 and shortly after it became the largest live poker club in Romania and also the favorite venue for the poker lovers in Bucharest.
After three years, when PokerFest live poker tournament circuit has gifted its aficionados with a series of successful festivals, top high awards, an impeccable organization and an enthusiastic ambience, the establishment of PokerFest Club has been a logical step.
Everything that PokerFest did all this time has helped give poker a positive image in the society and an extraordinary desire for success. All these triggered favorable governmental measures taken to legalize the live poker game in Romania.
Currently, PokerFest Club provides poker games in Bucharest, at two locations, designed for different pots and urban areas: JW Marriott Grand Hotel and Vitan Mall. The two poker clubs feature a full calendar of tournaments, with guaranteed prizes and live poker cash games.
The bets coverage is high, thus providing a chance to everyone to play his favorite game and bet as much as desired.
PokerFest circuit still organizes festivals of live poker on a regular basis, great tournaments and substantial money prizes – events that gather together all the live poker players in Romania and from abroad.
PokerFest holds a number of records of participation and granting awards in Romania and even in Europe.
A specific note of the PokerFest events is that the finals of the main tournaments are taped, commented upon and broadcast live, while the triumphant players are intensively promoted.
The infrastructure of the PokerFest clubs secures an unparallel fluency of the game experience in a top quality environment. The ambience of the clubs is welcoming, the dealers and game managers are trained in compliance with the world standards and the playing potential of every participant is carefully weighed, so as they will be awarded bonuses, prizes and a system of incentives as fair and attractive as possible.
Thanks to the diligence and the high standards set up by PokerFest in the live poker in Romania, these clubs get plenty of visitors from Bucharest, in the country and from abroad. They benefit from profitable rates for accommodation and many other bonuses.
The latest location of PokerFest Club at JW Marriott opened for business on March 1 with a series of spectacular tournaments, spread over 10 days that ended up with the popular PokerFest Grand 100, with guaranteed prizes of €40,000 for a buy-in of only €100. Also, the first edition of a super and original tournament called the PokerFest Stars Tournament will take place and benefit from the participation of TV stars or in the high society such as Liviu Varciu, Alina Plugaru, Dan Chișu, Augustin Viziru or Adi Minune, along with Gina Pistol and Helmut Duckadam.
Liviu Varciu won the first PokerFest Star Tournament after heads-up with Gina Pistol.
The ‚house opening’ tournament was really a red letter event, being a magnet for both the senior players and for the local VIPs. The total number of 57 players included former circuit championships like Robert Cezarescu, Gabriel Chiva, Ionuț Cristea, Valentin Stroiescu, Ion Dumitru and Gabriel Popescu, plus seasoned players Dany Parlafes, Andrei Stoenescu, Mihai Taizs and Cristian Dan.
The tournament, with guaranteed prizes of RON100,000 and a buy-in of RON2,000, was won by Cristian Dan. He cashed in RON30,500 and ticked off his first victory in the PokerFest tournaments.
At the same time, but in a less impressive show, the second location of PokerFest in Bucharest opened, right across the Vitan Mall.
