A benefit tournament in the Great Britain

The 52-year old presenter Jonathan Ross asked for a charity poker competition, where many celebrities attended.

The Jonathan Ross PokerStars Charity Special Tournament in Great Britain donated €130,000.   The one who initiated the project was the English television anchorman.  Poker is one of his hobbies and he just wanted to do something meaningful to help the less fortunate people for the winter holidays.

Celebrities around the table

The British TV man managed to bring famous names in, known everywhere, such the great former tennis champion Boris Becker, Vicky Coren and the English comedians Jason Mandford and John Bishop.

Jonathan Ross is a popular person in Great Britain – this is a reason why he asked for help with his poker from his Twitter 2.7 million fans.  In terms of his private life, the presenter is married to Jane Goldman, journalist and writer, ten years his junior.  The two tied the knot in 1988 when Goldman was 18.  They have three children – Betty Kitten, Harvey Kirby and Honey Kinney.

A writer, the winner

Adam Mohamed, a PokerStars user, qualified online to the charity tournament. He played the heads-up with Vicky Coren and with the only non-famous participant at the table.  Vicky, a writer and a professional poker player in Great Britain, was the confirmed winner.
