Kesha show sparks debates
The singer stirred disgust among the people who came to attend her show at one of the largest casinos in Ontario.
Kesha’s show was on August 9, at Caesars Windsor Casino. The ticket price started from 25 dollars. The concert of the eccentric artist displayed erotical gestures and other sex-related elements, which visibly and greatly offended some of the attendees. More exactly, it is about the parents who had brought their kids to the show. They fired messages on Facebook, complaining about the fact that her show was advertised as all-ages. The parents showed their displeasure by stating that Kesha’s show was outrageous, meant for adults only and not for children.
The Casino statement
Following these accusations, the Caesars Windsor Casino officials came forward to make a statement. They said that parents have a responsibility to know when, where and what show have their kids watch, especially when the artist is known to have ‚over decency limit’ performance.
‘We appreciate that Ke$ha’s show may be offensive to some, but it is ultimately up to concert attendees to review an artist’s material, before purchasing tickets, so that they may make their own informed decision on what is age appropriate, as this is subjective. What may be offensive to some is acceptable and enjoyable by others.’
Even though there had been some signage about the show, the parents ignored it and still bought tickets.
Caesars Windsor is one of the four casinos in Detroit-Windsor area and it belongs to the local authorities in Ontario. The Casino draws around six million tourists every year. The gaming area spreads over 9,290 sqm and the entertainment center accommodates 5,000 seats.
Kesha for short
Kesha Rose Sebert, or Kesha or Ke$ha for short, as people know her, is a 26-year old American singer. She caught the attention of the musical industry after working with Flo Rida on ‚Right Round’ single, which debuted as number one in Billboard Hot 100. In 2010, Kesha was launching her solo album, ‚Animal’. At the end of 2012, she came with her hit ‚Die Young’ that placed on the top in ten countries.
