A host of celebrities will head to the Bahamas to play the PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC) in January joining PokerStars ambassadors and players at the tables for five days of poker action and fun.
For one night only, renowned stand-up comedian, writer and actor Norm Macdonald will be at a table.
Joining Norm Macdonald at the tables, is Bruce Buffer – Voice of the Octagon UFC, Tony Hawk, one of the most successful and influential pioneers of modern vertical skateboarding, Paul Pierce, former NBA Champion (Boston Celtics), 10-time All-Star, 4-time All-NBA Team Member, MVP and current ESPN NBA analyst and Spanish Pro Golfer Sergio Garcia.
The list of ambassadors who will be vying for the chips along with the celebrities are: Daniel Negreanu, Lex Veldhuis, Igor Kurganov, Jason Somerville, Jaime Staples, Jake Cody, Chris Moneymaker, Liv Boeree, Andre Akkari, Jeff Gross, Maria Konnikova, Fatima de Melo, Randy Lew, Kevin Martin, Fintan Hand, Benjamin Spragg, Jennifer Shahade, Celina Lin, Mikhail Shalamov, Felix Schneiders.
The tournament will start on January 6 in the Bahamas.
On January 8 will be a special comedy night with Norm Macdonald, Clayton Fletcher and Joe Stapleton.
While the PSPC will be taking up most of everyone’s time, a celebration of poker such as the PSPC wouldn’t be complete without attendance at the final night player party which takes place on January 10.
Those with deep pockets who’ve exhausted other opportunities to secure entry to the PSPC can buy-in directly to the tournament.
