Redbet Poker has announced plans to shift from the IGT Network to the Ongame Network in light of IGT’s closure by the end of 2012.

The move is planned for December 1, but Redbet will continue to run popular promotions such as freerolls and new player sign-up bonuses for its remaining six weeks on IGT.

New promotions are also in the works following the transition to Ongame.

Redbet also runs a poker room on the Boss Media Network.

The closure of IGT is forcing many skins to scramble and find a new network on which to reside.

The Microgaming Network has picked up the iGame and BetVictor skins, while Cardbet will transition to the Revolution Gaming Network.

IGT has been approved for an interactive gaming license in Nevada’s new online poker regime and will be focusing some of its attention on that regulated market.

The Ongame Network was purchased by Montreal’s Amaya Gaming earlier this month for a reported $19.3 million down payment with additional payments over the next five years to total $12.9 million depending on the proliferation of online gambling legislation in the U.S.

Redbet runs another online poker skin, Whitebet, which is already operating on the Ongame Network.

Unconfirmed reports have floated the idea that Whitebet players will at sometime in the future be moved to Redbet and that the Whitebet room will be discontinued.
