Oltenians, a good charm

The Local Kombat Bodyguard Final – Special Forces in Oltenia, a successful event, featured the game for the WAKO Pro Intercontinental title at 64.5 kg between Ionut ‚Pitbull’ Atodiresei and Sasa Jovanovic, the Austrian of Serbian origin. The Romanian pressed and won against his rival.

While legendary Remy Bonjasky was watching, Atodiresei became the first Romanian to win the WAKO Pro belt since Olguta Vasilescu took the position of WAKO Pro Romania President. The one nicknamed ‚Pitbull’ won against Jovanovic by unanimous decision – after each of them had scored a knock-down. Thus, the Romanian champion took his belt back from his contestant. This game was actually a retaliation after Jovanovic had won in Podgorica, in February by a decision. ‚First of all, I would like to thank to this really impressive public in Oltenia who encouraged me during the entire game. I would love to win more often in this town’, said Atodiresei.

Compliments from a triple champion

The triple K-1 world champion, Dutch Remy Bonjasky attended the event and congratulated all the Romanian fighters at the gala. ‘I am so glad I came to Craiova and can honestly tell you that it was worth the trip here. I saw a few sportsmen who have a real potential – and the audience was also wonderful. So was the organization, of a great quality indeed. In Romania, K-1 can very well compete with soccer’, said the great Dutch sportsman. In fact, he took hundreds of pictures with his fans around town during his 3-day stay in Craiova – and the 15,000 people in the arena applauded as one, in recognition of his career.

Coach at Respect Gym fitness club

On June 10, Ionuţ ‚Pitbull’ Atodiresei was present at Respect Gym fitness club, managed by Alin Panaite and where the K-1 champion is a coach – it was the inauguration of the Day of Open Gates. In an interview given to our publication ‚Casino Life & Business Magazine’, Ionut Atodiresei said that the Craiova game was not the hardest in his career but certainly one full of contradictory feelings about his rival and the unfolding of the events. He introduced to our publication ‚The Pitbull Division’, more exactly his section for coaching children at Respect Gym. The people present there watched a training demo session where ‚Pitbull’ fought against the 10-year old wonder-child Alexandru Stan, about whom the great K-1 fighter says out loud that he is a future champion.
