An insight into a Dane’s troubled soul
Something is wrong with Peter Eastgate, the Danish poker player. He confesses that he has trouble in finding peace and in being happy, even though it seems that he has it all.
In 2008, Peter Eastgate won the WSOP Main Event and left home with over $9 millions. More than that, he became the youngest champion at that time – he was 22. In a mid 2010, he publicly announced that he would leave the poker world, he quit the Pro PokerStars Team and put his world champion bracelet up for auction. In 2011, he came back into the professional circuit, but most people would say that Peter never would be the same player who had amazed the world, in spite of his recent good results.
Eleven millions dollars from tournaments
Along the years, Peter Eastgate made over $11 millions from live tournaments. But he is far away from being content. ‚I am fighting with myself to find a reasonable motivation, to find things that will energize me, but ain’t easy, trust me. It might seem surprising but, should I lose all my money, it would be much simpler to find an inspiration and do something for myself’ said the Danish player. He let us know that he started practising yoga and it helps him tremendously. Moreover, Peter revealed that he would love to become a physical therapist in the future.
