In a recent new study conducted on cruise ship passengers taking to the high seas, it showed that 79% of those on board had visited the casino for a gamble during their time on the ship.
A total of £321,200 was gambled on an average voyage by customers and the casino winning £127,600 per trip.
The survey shows that casinos on cruise ships are still a lucrative business with an average win for the house of 39.7% per customer.
Indeed of those 2,759 surveyed the average spend per head in the casino was £146, with them walking out with £58 of that.
Asked what the main reasons for visiting a casino on board included good casino facilities, as a social event and to keep other friends and family company if they were gambling.
