Merry Christmas, Healthy and Happy on behalf from the editorial staff of your favorite source of news Casino Life & Business Magazine.
Here we come on the eve of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ, a day celebrated all over the world under the name of Christmas.
Christmas or the Nativity is a Christian holiday celebrated on December 25 (in the Gregorian calendar) or January 7 (in the Julian calendar) every year. It is part of the 12 royal feasts of the Byzantine rite churches.
In some countries, where Christians are in the majority, Christmas is also a legal holiday, and the holiday is extended to the next day, December 26: the second day of Christmas.
Since the beginning of the twentieth century, Christmas has become a secular holiday, celebrated by both Christians and non-Christians, with the center of gravity of the celebration shifting from church attendance to the rite to the family aspect of exchanging gifts. or, for children, “Santa’s gifts.”
The term comes from the Latin calatio with its accusative form calationem. [1] The Romans by calatio meant the convocation of the people by pagan priests every first day of the month to announce the holidays of that month, and, by extension, the holiday in general, because the most important calatio was that of January 1.
Until the end of the 4th century, the birth of Christ was celebrated with the Epiphany on January 6, when it was customary to announce the holidays of the past year (Easter, etc.). And as to the recent Christians of Dacia and the south of the Danube, this proclamation seemed close to the pagan feast of Calatio, with this term they called the Christian feast of the birth of Christ. The dates on which Christmas is celebrated are indicative, because the exact date of Jesus’ birth is unknown.
So, on the occasion of the Holy Feast of the Nativity, the editorial staff of our magazine wishes you a Merry Christmas with your families and all your loved ones, full of health, abundance and good cheer. May the winter holidays bring you peace of mind and fulfill all your wishes.
