Ianna Novac, the return to essence

➤ Who is Ianna Novac, really?
Ianna Novac is first and foremost the mother of Erika Maria and Alexandru Theodor and then the artist, the pop opera soprano who entered the path of music at the age of 5 when her parents brought her a piano in the house and where she sat down and started to dream of the beautiful career he enjoys today.
➤ What does music mean to you?
At the moment of my life, music is the one that returns me to the essence, to the artist who composes, who merges and lives through music. This pandemic came with a lot of inspiration for me, it actually sounds in my head songs that I definitely have to sit at the piano to play and lay on the score. I went back to the years when my love for music was so true and sincere, where there was only the desire to sing without expecting anything in return. Music for me is one of the blessings of my life, it is the one that brings me a lot of joy, balance and happiness.
➤ If you weren’t an artist, what would you have liked to do?
I have always known that I will become an artist and it seems to me the most beautiful, but also the most demanding job from a mental point of view. At some point, in about 20 years, I would like to train artists both vocally, musically, but also mentally, who can support this profession, not at all easy, with joy and ease.
➤ Do you have time for family?
Of course!!! My family is the most important thing to me and nothing, not even my career, will ever go over it as a priority.
➤ I know your husband is also an artist. Who has priority when it comes to sitting with the children so that the other can repeat?
My husband is a tenor and I have to admit that we have a happy house from a musical point of view. We make our program every day so that everyone has time to study and create. We are extremely disciplined and we try to do everything, to take care of our evolution, but not to neglect the little ones either. With two children we get out, but with several I don’t think it would be the same. Erika also attends music school, so another artist has appeared in the house, who has priority in her studies.
➤ What projects do you have for 2021?
I am currently working on a song, a famous opera aria, processed in pop style opera that I want to release as soon as possible and I would like to release a new album this year with a grandiose concert, but in these uncertain times with so many restrictions, I do not know how many projects will be completed.
➤ Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years I will see myself on stage and in 50 years I will also be on stage, happy with my family.
