Five-time National Basketball Association champion and Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson will be keynoting next week’s Global Gaming Expo, to discuss his career in business and his views on legalized sports betting.

The former Los Angeles Lakers point guard accumulated three MVP awards, nine NBA Finals appearances and 12 All-Star appearances in 13 seasons before unexpectedly retiring after it was discovered he had contracted the HIV virus.

He will also participate in a 15 minute conversation with American Gaming Association chief executive Geoff Freeman on the future of sports betting in the United States and its potential to be accepted into the mainstream sports world, both of which will be marquee topics at G2E 2017.
