The Gambling Industry Awards have reached the 8th edition.
For the first time the prestigious event was broadcast in full “Live” on the Internet.
The Casino Life & Business Magazine Awards Gala or the Gambling Industry Gala, as it was named by the press ever since its first edition, an original event, by far the most important social event of the Romanian gambling industry, which really repays the over-the-year activity of the most representatives members of the gaming world in Romania (and not only) managed, as each time, to bring together in an extraordinary atmosphere the representatives of the gambling industry, players, public figures, authorities, people who matter in the world of contemporary “business”, people of culture, arts and sports, and people from mass media as well.
The Casino Life & Business Magazine Awards Gala, the only true landmark in the Romanian gambling yearly calendar, has awarded its winners Thursday evening, on December 10th, in the presence of over 220 participants in the field and over 300 spectators in the spectacular setting of the ZEXE events salons.
As at its previous editions, this year’s Gala was a true end-of-the-year party, mixed in a unique show of live music, joy, magic moments and many, many surprises.
The 2016 edition of the only original event of this type in the Romanian gambling industry was broadcast live on the internet, on the www.casino-magazine.ro website.
The artistic show, watched and applauded at open stage by the 223 guests, was performed by 28 artists who benefited from the support of a technical crew of 30 people.
In the golden minute of the live internet transmission, the event was watched by no less than 309 users.
Thus, with a total of over 600 participating persons, the 2016 edition of the Casino Life & Business Magazine Awards Gala has become the biggest event ever organized in the gambling industry in Romania, a performance hard to match even by the fiercest copiers, either local or international.
And the organizers promise that the next year Gala will be even bigger and better…
The voting system was a very simple one which proved to be effective and viable throughout the previous 7 editions. The nominations for all the awarding categories were published on our website, casino-magazine.ro and submitted to the magazine’s data base, and the readers could vote by means of an e-mail to our address, thus avoiding any multiple voting situations. The vote ended on the evening of December 5th.
Obviously the fair and transparent voting wasn’t appreciated by some companies who fervently desired awards at this Gala, but, although they withdrew their support of the event, the Casino Life & Business Magazine, as organizer, didn’t betray its readers and awarded only those voted for real!

THE PRIZE for the Young Hope in Sport was awarded by the singer Admiral C’Four See to Miss MIHAELA LEONTE, multiple winner of the FENCING championships and tournaments.
THE PRIZE for the ROMANIAN PRODUCER OF THE YEAR was awarded by Ionuţ “Pitbull” Atodiresei, MMA coach and fighter, to the winners BAUM GAMES and DGL PRO.
THE PRIZE for the FOREIGN PRODUCER OF THE YEAR was awarded by Daniel Onoriu, pilot, national road rally champion to the winners NOVOMATIC and AMATIC INDUSTRIES.
THE PRIZE for the ELECTRONIC GAME HALL OF THE YEAR was awarded by Simona Chiţac, to the winner GAME WORLD.
THE PRIZE for the POKER CLUB OF THE YEAR was awarded by Diana Beciu-Chiriţă to the ALL-IN club in Bucharest
The Special Prize for DEBUT IN CAREER was awarded by Denisa Nechifor to Miss Rebecca Dumitrescu Prodan for her debut in Modeling.
THE PRIZE for the BEST MONITORING SYSTEM OF THE YEAR was awarded by Dana Neacşu, also known as DJ Harra, to the winner: NEWTON SLOTS.
THE PRIZE for the MOST ORIGINAL/INNOVATIVE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR was awarded by the singer Marian Hagiu to the winner: ALFASTREET Roulette.
THE PRIZE for the BEST GAMBLING SHOW OF THE YEAR was awarded by Adrian Artene, Editor-in-chief at Can-Can.ro, to the winner: SUPER BINGO METROPOLIS represented by Mihai Mitoşeru.
THE PRIZE for the BEST ORGANIZER OF POKER TOURNAMENTS was awarded by Ioana Dichiseanu to the winner: POKERFEST Bucharest
The special prize for the best mundane/social show of the year was awarded to the LA MĂRUŢĂ show.
Cătălin Măruţă couldn’t attend the Gala due to the filming for the end-of-the-year TV shows, but he sent a video message that could be watched by those present.
THE PRIZE for the BEST SPORTS BOOKMAKING WEBSITE was awarded by Mihnea Paul Popescu-Grisogono, President of Casino Life & Business Magazine to the winner: UNIBET.
THE PRIZE for the BEST POKER WEBSITE was awarded by Sandu Lungu, MMA coach and fighter, to the winner: POKERSTARS.
THE PRIZE for the BEST CASINO GAMES WEBSITE was awarded by Mihai Mitoşeru to the winner: WINMASTERS.
THE PRIZE for the BEST WEBSITE IN CUSTOMER RELATIONS was awarded by Viorel Lis to the winner: NETBET.
THE PRIZE for the WEBSITE WITH THE MOST QUICKLY PAYING was awarded by Oana Lis to the winner: POKERSTARS.
THE PRIZE for the BEST “NEW ENTRY” IN THE FIELD was awarded by Sorin Constantinescu, President of the Romanian Casino Organizers Association to the winner: WINMASTERS.
The SPECIAL Prize for the Venue of the Year was awarded by Mihnea Paul Popescu-Grisogono, President of the Casino Life & Business Magazine to Mr. Alexandru Stanciu, Director of the ZEXE EVENTS Center.
The SPECIAL Prize for the Sportsperson of the year was awarded by Mihnea Paul Popescu-Grisogono, President of the Casino Life & Business Magazine to Daniel Onoriu, absolute National Champion of coastal speed races in the SuperBike 1000cc category, debutants, thus being the only pilot in Romania who is a National Auto-Moto Champion.
THE PRIZE for the BEST BOOKMAKER OF THE YEAR was awarded by the actor Octavian Strunila to the winner: StanleyBet.
THE PRIZE for the LIVE CASINO OF THE YEAR was awarded by Radu Groza, artistic agent to the winner: GRAND CASINO in Bucharest.
THE PRIZE for the GREATEST INVOLVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF GAMBLING THIS YEAR was awarded by Mihnea Paul Popescu-Grisogono, President of the Casino Life & Business Magazine to Sorin Constantinescu, President of PokerFest and President of the Romanian Casino Organizers Association.
The poker prizes were awarded as follows: for the best poker player in the LIVE category – the awarding was according to the GPI – Global Poker Index – ranking, and the winner was the film director Dan Chişu.
For the ONLINE poker category – the awarding was according to the direct voting on the biggest poker forum in Romania – Hold’em.ro, and the winner was Narcis Nedelcu.
The poker players couldn’t attend the gala event because they were at the WPT poker tour in Prague, but they got their prizes in front of over 500 poker players at the “Winmasters Poker Open” tour which took place in Bucharest in December.
The artistic program presented by Mădălina Lambrinoc (PRO TV) and Daniel Dude (TVR) was extremely varied and had live music, illusion and magic moments by the team of the Magic Theatre in Bucharest, theatre founded by Andrei Teaşcă, but also a unique fashion parade for men and women, all mixed in perfect harmony in a program under the name of the Casino Life & Business Magazine.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the artists Loredana Benga, Admiral C’Four See and Marian Hagiu, but also to the magicians from the Magic Theatre in Bucharest, as well as to the models who presented the unique mixed fashion parade.
The Gambling Industry Awards Gala in Romania was honored by the presence of several authorities such as the National Gambling Office, the National Authority for Consumers’ Protection, but also the Parliament of Romania. At the same time, this unique event in the gambling field in our country benefited from the active participation of many famous persons such as Laurenţiu Reghecampf, Adrian Artene, Ioana Dichiseanu, Octavian Strunila, Oana and Viorel Lis, Mihai Mitoşeru, Dana Neascu, also known by most people as DJ Harra, Denisa Nechifor, Diana Beciu-Chiriţă, Daniel Onoriu, Ionuţ „Pitbull” Atodiresei, Sandu Lungu, Radu Groza, but also from the participation of over 220 leading representatives of the gaming activities.
The event also had a charitable character, as the Casino Life & Business Magazine Awards Gala always had, by supporting important social projects.
Here are a few things about the project supported this time. It belongs to the Alternative Methods for Social Integration Association, in short AMAIS. The SenseAbility project, as it is called, consisted of organizing some “blind” tours through valuable buildings in Bucharest, with the purpose of making the space more accessible for persons with visual disabilities and developing empathy towards them.
SenseAbility took place within the Bucharest Architecture Annual 2015, and due to its success, the project was awarded the President Prize from the Order of Architects. AMAIS will continue this project in 2016 as well.
Many representatives of the press were present at the event, as always, and they did not only interviews, but also a few live broadcastings.
The evening ended with the traditional pictures taken at the panel dedicated to the event.
Having reached its 8th edition this year, the Casino Life & Business Magazine Awards Gala attracted many partners, such as: PokerFest, DGL PRO, NEWTON SLOTS, ATRIA and the ROMBET Association. The outfit of the presenter was by Miss Grey. Old Team Distribution took care of the Open Bar and the Candy Bar was offered by Royal Events, as it was in the 2014 edition. The traditional partner in promoting the event was, this year as well, Simona Chiţac Media. The main partner of the event was the ZEXE EVENTS salon.
