The management team of ROMBET – the Association of Betting Organizers – attempted to have a firsthand opinion about the market at ICE Totally Gaming 2015, the largest gambling event in Europe that took place in London, early February.
“We had numerous meetings with representatives from companies of a world recognition in the gambling industry: Playtech/Videobet, Scientific Games, Inspire, Remote Gambling Association – an association that ROMBET has a wonderful partnership. We were all extremely interested in finding out how the Romanian officials are preparing the opening of the online gambling market. We all want to have a strong market, with as many operators as possible, which would be an extraordinary achievement for our industry, for the economy, for the tens of thousands professionals wishing to join this sector. Romania has to play wisely its card of the online gambling, it is a beautiful and challenging occasion at the same time’, said Mr. Dan Ghita, President ROMBET, on his coming back from the London event.
ROMBET Association is ready to support everyone interested in the latest stipulations aiming the online gambling, and also the people operating on the traditional market who want to find out how they are going to be affected by the amendments passed this February and still waiting for the implementation norms.
“ROMBET, along other representatives of the gambling industry, works together with the National Gambling Office (ONJN) to come up with the best provisions. These norms will include, among others, and technical licensing requirements. Many foreign investors I talked to are looking forward for them,’ adds President ROMBET.
At ICE Totally Gaming, ROMBET had meetings with the representatives of influential industry, such as Journal des Casinos, EGR Magazine, Yogonet, Gaming Intelligence, Gambling Inside – with research and analysis institutes of gambling and also with several organizations involved in responsible gambling and the business deontology with the gambling organizers.
ICE Totally Gaming, the most relevant event of the gambling industry at the European level, took place in London, between 3 and 5 of February. The organizers already announced that the gambling lovers should mark their calendar for 2 and 4 of February next year, as they are being waited again in London.
