The Portuguese government is to again look at legalizing online gambling in the country in an attempt to generate much needed tax revenues.

Over the next three months the government will create a committee to evaluate the opportunities for online gambling in the country and in the EU.

The committee will also be tasked with formatting a group of regulatory proposals in order to allow online gambling in the state.

A timeline for these proposals to be heard in the countries parliament and any consultation period with any related groups has not been announced.
