The first stop of PokerFest team is in Cluj, 16- 21 September
A €550 buy-in, three super satellites and four side events
Starting with September 16, the date for the first poker festival in Cluj in the fall series, the PokerFest team comes back to what his brand signature is: organizing huge poker festivals in and out of the country.
The appetite of the Romanian poker players for such events has not waned in time but on the contrary. The tradition of the PokerFest festivals has become stronger and the events with a large number of participants and spreading over almost seven days are now ‘mark-your-calendar’ for those who want to build a bankroll and a name in the poker world. This market trend – to claim mega events and trophies with a high portfolio value from the organizers – has made PokerFest give up the daily micro tournaments and provide the players with the product they really want.
Even during the last year, PokerFest has not failed its vocation to be the live poker capital and managed to break participation records every month in spite of the fact that the poker budget of the players were crumbled among the buy-ins of the daily small tournaments.
This competence has culminated with the last summer festival, Israel Poker Tour – Summer Edition at Radisson Hotel, between July and August. And it took place, despite of the tensed political situation in Israel, which made the Israeli partner require the buy-in lowered and over one hundred foreign players cancel their participation. However, PokerFest managed to gather enough local resources to go higher than the initial guaranteed deposit and establish a new participation record at a PokerFest tournament: 506 entries in the €550 buy-in Main Event!
For this final trimester of the year 2014, the first stop of the PokerFest team will be in Cluj, 16-21 September. The structure will be the €550 buy-in Main Event, three supersatellites and four side events, under the auspices and in partnership with Royal Poker Club in the city.
Further on, October is an important step for the organizer: a poker festival in Cyprus! Exporting the PokerFest brand to this ‘hot spot’ in the Mediterranean area is likely the best opportunity and imperative for PokerFest.
November is the usual festival month in Bucharest and in December there is a high chance to have again the traditional winter poker vacation in Brasov.
