Six Romanians on the fight-card
The fourth Superkombat World Grand Prix of 2012 starts on October 20 in Arad, said Eduard Irimia, Superkombat President. He also mentioned that a record number of six Romanian fighters are on the fight-card.
Superkombat WGP 11 will be hosted by Galeria Arad Mall, as the second event in the circuit known as former Local Kombat since 2010, following the Superkombat Fight Club in November 2011 in Oradea.
‚We have a large experience in organizing events in supermarkets, and this is the reason why we have chosen for the last qualifying tournament this location in Arad – Galleria – for its the best conditions,’ said promoter Eduard Irimia.
Gala will be broadcast live in 75 countries via Eurosport. The Romanians will be able to watch it on and Pro TV. Also, Irimia announced a partnership with Metalbox Club Arad, where Radu Catinas is registered. He and Catalin Morosanu plus Benny Adegbuyi will put Romania on the K-1 Final 16 map in Tokyo. ‘Metalbox thus becomes an important hub for this sport, along with Scorpions Iasi and Respect Gym in Bucharest. It will be a true nursery for the Superkombat galas,’ said the president of the world circuit. In fact, Catinas will be a special guest to the show at Galeria Arad, together with the other heroes in K-1.

1,000 free tickets
For the October 20 gala, only the VIP tickets at the tables around the ring are up for sale, while the rest of 1,000 free tickets will be given away to the Galeria Arad clients by various promotions.
For the pyramid of four, where the winner will qualify for the Superkombat Final Elimination on November 10, there will be present the winner of the ‘Bodyguard’ pre-selection gala, Razvan Ghita, Ciprian Sora’s student, American Steve Banks, Moroccan Fikri Ameziane and Montenegro Goran Radonjic. For the super-fights, Andrei Stoica, Alexandru Lungu, Miodrag Olar, Sebastian Ciobanu and Adrian Mitu will be fighting, with the last one for the 77-kg national title.
