Malta Gaming Authority

Malta Gaming Authority announced that it will close down all the gambling venues due to the developments in the coronavirus pandemic.

Malta is not just one of the world’s leading domiciles for international online gaming companies – it has an indigenous, but limited, gaming industry of its own.

This week the Maltese Gaming Authority fell into line with most other European countries with restrictions on land-based gaming venues, closing them for the duration of the coronavirus epidemic.

The Malta Gaming Authority order applies to bingo halls, casinos, gaming parlours and lotto booths.

Thus, Malta through the Malta Gaming Authority joins the countries and jurisdictions that have decided to close all gambling locations in the hope that they can thus stop the coronavirus epidemic, which is making more and more victims worldwide.
