SPiCE India 2020 postponed after new indian government travel ban
Based on developments in the last time relating to the travel advisory issued by the Indian government dated 11 March 2020, which cancels all existing visas for foreign nationals except diplomatic and employment visas until 15 April 2020 to curtail the COVID-19 impact, Eventus International has concluded that unfortunately, it is impossible to continue with SPiCE India 2020 as per its current schedule of 25-27 March 2020.
Expressing disappointment at the postponement, Yudi Soetjiptadi, Managing Director of Eventus International, commented, “Although our team was fully ready to host the event as per schedule and all preparations were done, due to recent developments and the most recent travel ban issued by the Indian government, it is impossible for us to continue with SPiCE India 2020 on schedule. We are evaluating the situation further and will discuss with our advisors and stakeholders before making an announcement on the new dates. Despite this postponement we look forward to welcoming all our clients to the third annual SPiCE India on its new dates. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe!”
The Eventus International team would hereby like to thank all SPiCE India 2020 participants for their support and understanding in the matter which is beyond our control. We would also like to give all participants the assurance that the event will take place on the new dates once decided, and Eventus International will continue to promote SPiCE India through our various channels for optimum brand exposure for all current sponsors and exhibitors.
Eventus International also postponed GAME (Gaming & Affiliate Marketing Expo) 2020. GAME 2020 will now be taking place on Monday, 27 April 2020 at the luxurious Royal Olympic Hotel in Athens. Held in the beautiful Panorama Hall with a view of the Temple of Zeus, National Gardens, the Acropolis, Hadrian’s Arch and the Ancient Stadium, conferencing and networking certainly does not get any better than this!
New dates for CasinoBeats Malta and Betting on Sports America
SBC Events has announced that it has delayed two of its international gambling conferences as the global situation around the COVID-19 outbreak continues to develop.
CasinoBeats Malta, the dedicated gaming conference and exhibition organised by SBC Events, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Malta will now be held on 22-24 June 2020. Betting on Sports America at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey, has been moved to 1-3 December 2020.
A statement by SBC Events said: “While the global COVID-19 situation evolves and the official advice and restrictions concerning travel and public gatherings continue to change, we feel we have no alternative but to postpone both events until later in the year.
“The changing situation and the fact that an increasing number of industry organisations are introducing their own travel bans for staff, means that both CasinoBeats Malta and Betting on Sports America would have been severely impacted had we not made the decision to postpone them until later in the year.”

G2E Asia Postpones 2020 Trade Show
Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia – the marketplace for the Asian gaming and entertainment industry – is postponing G2E Asia to July 28-30, 2020 at the Venetian Macao.
G2E Asia and its organizers, the American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions, fully understand and appreciate the level of planning that is required to participate in this event. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak and related travel and commercial restrictions make those preparations too difficult to hold the show as originally planned.
“Like all of you, we have carefully monitored this global health crisis. Our top priority is ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers, and exhibitors at G2E Asia,” said Josephine Lee, chief operating officer, Reed Exhibitions China. “We made this decision in consultation with our exhibitors and the Macao government, and out of an abundance of caution. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank our customers for their continued support of G2E Asia.”
