Bold plans for a Finnish player
The poker player Jens Kyllonen paid $200,000 to have a seat reserved for the spatial trip with Virgin Galactic.
The cruise will take place in 2014, after the player will have completed all the tests required by such entreprise. Jens Kyllonen will have to go through a training of 3 or 4 days at SpacePort America before boarding for the two-day trip on the spatial ship of Sir Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin company.
‚I have always been fascinated by space and I am thrilled to have now this opportunity to actually seeing it,’said the Finnish player. Jens Kyllonen is the third from the Scandinavian countries and a second person in the poker world to take this trip to the space – should we include here the magnate Guy LaLiberte, a passionate card player. In October 2009, LaLiberte paid $35 millions to spend 11 days in the space.
