Best gala of contemporary fashion and art in Romania

The end of June brought the greatest festival of the contemporary fashion and art in our country, namely the sixth edition of Feeric Fashion Days in Sibiu.

The 6-day Gala, where our publication ‚Casino Life & Business Magazine’ was a partner, hosted Romanian and foreign fashion designers who presented their collections in original and impressive locations. Along with the jewellery and photography exhibitions, the megaevent caught the attention of the locals and tourists visiting the city of Sibiu.

Feeric Fashion Days is an event organized by Mitichi Foundation and co-financed by the City Hall of Municipality of Sibiu and the Local Council, via the Cultural Center in the same city.

Fearing the weather

In anticipation of bad weather, the sixth edition of Feeric Fashion Days ended on the last Sunday of June, on the suspended catawalk in Mica Plaza in top form. Even though the Festival started off on the wrong foot, when Bianca Popp first individual presentation in Brukenthal Palace creek in Avrig had to be delayed because of the rain. the Festival team met together and decided to stick to the schedule, no matter what. And everything on went very smoothly. Adriana Goilav held her presentation in the terminal of the airport in Sibiu. Olimpia Dobrota came with a phenomenal collection, wonderfully displayed in the Pottery Area at the Open-air Museum. Andra Papuc, student at Lucian Blaga University took hers under the dome of the House of Arts – the truly most elegant collection presented this year at Feeric.

Bad weather, no impediment after all

Despite of the heavy rain, over 100 people climbed to Cisnadioara Fortress to see the comeback of Sibiu designer Anca Stanila for Feeric Fashion Days, with a fresh and colorful collection. On the third day of the festival, while raining cats and dogs, Anamaria presented her latest creations for the people gathered in a contained chaos in Aurarilor Plaza. This collection only seemed more spectacular in such bad weather.

One of the Serbian designers in vogue, Pedja Neric, presented the spring-summer collection in Boromir Market House where the candies are made, among the production lines. The fourth evening of Feeric Fashion Days ended with the stylish and sober presentation of Natalia Vasiliev, on Pasajul Scarilor Street.

Industrial decor

The presentation that the ULBS students held in Balanta Market House awed the entire audience. The industrial decor, the mobile crane that transported one of the models along the catwalk were some of the highlights of the evening. Cristian Samfira won the crowd over with his personal presentation at the CFR Passengers Yard Line. With a perfect geometry, the space made the most of the clothing creations, so much more that the general presentation took place on the 360-degree revolving turntable, close to the audience. Florin Dobre brought the public to amazement with his masculine and very creative presentation in the Max Restaurant area. People came in hundreds to the first part of Feeric Gala. Maria Simion, the hostess and star of Antena 2 channel, was also the first designer to climb on the catwalk in Mica Plaza. Other names to mention are Diane Paraian, Doina Gangan, Sandra Chira, Georgiana Nicolaescu, Rozalia Bot. The audience was enchanted by a presentation of bow-ties signed Bowtique and hairdoes of Wella Trends by Luciano.

Swimming pool presentation

The last day of the Festival debuted with an atypical presentation, in the Baia Neptun pool. Emptied of water, the pool was filled with chairs for the public and had an appropriate catwalk fitted to that space. The event moved then to Avrig, where Bianca Popp redid the presentation cancelled in the first day of Feeric, accompanied by many rounds of applause. Still in the Brukenthal Summer Palace yard, Adina Buzatu displayed hers, called Cristalerie and made by Ioan Tamaian, Adriana Cazan, Olimpia Dobrota and Rodica Slabu, thus ending the edition of Feeric Fashion Days of this year.

The festival ended on the same suspended catwalk in Mica Plaza. The Sibiu audience braved the cold weather and enjoyed the beautiful creations of Erika Lopez, Beata Szasz, A & S Negulescu, Charles & Ron, Evgheni Hudorojcov, Wella Trends by Excentric and Adina Buzatu.
