Dragoș Preda, is a keynote speaker of the 11th edition of the Central European Gambling Summit – CEGS23.

Dragoș Preda, DBA ORBIS CONECTO & CHEMICAL BROs PARTNERSHIPS, Minister Secretary of State for Telecommunications within the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure and Communications (MTIC) (2020-2021) and former Director General of the National Radiocommunication Society (RADIOCOM S.A.) (2021-2022) social entrepreneur, considered by ICT professionals as a visionary – speaking since 2011 about the role of new technologies, together with the Millenium Project of the UN University and the Smithsonian Institute, brings together in his biography a vast experience and expertise in the development of intelligent communities and central and local public administration, in the country as well as in EU member states, and at the level of the Brussels Expert Groups.

In July 2021, he took over the management of the most important public company in the field of Telecommunications, RADIOCOM S.A., a strategically important company in deficit – 18 million in 2019. During his mandate, he doubled the profit to 25 million, signed a protocol with the University Polytechnic to attract the young generation to start RnD/RnT projects. It also formed a working group with ANCOM to launch digital RADIO broadcasting in Romania and signed a protocol with CNAIR to implement INFOtraffic (in both analog and digital format), and in June 2022 Romania succeeded in its historic accession to the Network International Teleport Association (WTA) by certifying the Cheia Satellite Center, starting discussions with SpaceX/Starlink to develop a joint venture teleport in Galbeni near Iași.

Dragoș C. L. Preda was a scholarship holder at two internationally renowned schools: Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and Paris 1 Pantheon – Sorbonne, attending numerous other courses in the country and abroad.

He was awarded in the first edition of the “Forbes Romania 30 under 30 Gala”, JCI TOYP and received a whole series of distinctions and decorations for his involvement both professionally and socially and the development of numerous impactful projects, among which and the Badge of Honor of Communications and Informatics.

Dragoș Preda will be the keynote speaker of the panel “Digital era in gambling (I) / Crypto, Cybersecurity, Blockchain” on the first day of the expo-conference.

CEGS

The 11th edition of the Central European Gambling Summit, CEGS23, will take place on May 23-24, 2023 at the well-known Magic Place Grant location in Bucharest’s Crângași neighborhood. The event will be accompanied by a strictly B2B boutique-style exhibition for the entire duration of the two days, but also by a super party that will take place on the first evening.
An important focus of the event will be on the digitization of the gambling industry, but also on solutions for traditional gambling.
The combined event will be held under the motto: Digital Era and Traditional Gambling.

Honorary President of the event is Silviu Pocora, Vice-President with duties of President of the National Office for Gambling.
