As expected, the Nevada Gaming Control Board green-lighted Golden Nugget, Fertitta Interactive and Boyd Gaming to operate Internet poker sites in the Silver State.

Boyd has an agreement in place with Bwin.party to collaborate on running a site in the country’s first regulated marketplace.

Bwin.party is also an applicant for state licensing, but no date has been set for the operators of Party Poker to appear before gaming officials.

Presumably, Boyd Gaming will not launch until Bwin.party has also secured an interactive gaming license.
Golden Nugget has forged a deal with Bally Technologies–the very first company to receive approval from the control board just a couple months ago.

The Golden Nugget has been established in downtown Las Vegas for over 60 years.

Fertitta Interactive has a 45% share in Station Casinos and plans to operate a real-money site under the popular Ultimate Gaming brand.

Including Internet poker affiliate PokerTrip Enterprises, Nevada gaming officials have now rubber-stamped a dozen license applicants to participate in providing intrastate online poker in one form or another.

Boyd, Fertitta and Golden Nugget join Bally Technologies, WMS Gaming, International Game Technology, American Casino & Entertainment Properties (ACEP), Global Cash Access Holdings, Monarch Interactive, South Point Poker, and SHFL entertainment (formerly Shuffle Master) as licensees.

South Point Poker was hoping to go online this month, but recent delays in testing and meeting the requirements of gaming officials have pushed the launch date to December or possibly early 2013.
