Bacolux Koralio – Eforie Nord

Eforie Nord is one of the resorts with tradition in Romania, going through many transformations to reach the form in which we find it today.

The access to the sea and the springs it possesses have always made the settlement coveted by migrant populations as well as Romanians, this aspect creating a rich and very varied history for the resort. It acquired the role of a spa resort in 1894 when the Eforia of Civil Hospitals in Bucharest built a balneo-climatic sanatorium in the area. Thus over time this segment continued to develop with numerous treatment and accommodation facilities and went through several names over the years, first Techirghiol-Eforie, then Carmen Sylva, Vasile Roaita and finally Eforie Nord.

Today Eforie Nord is the second largest resort on the Romanian coast and its specific balneo-climate makes it accessible not only during the summer but throughout the year. The main natural resources for the cure are sapropelic mud and salt water from Lake Techirghiol, the former being also called “black gold” for its healing properties, known since antiquity.

The main benefits of the resources from Eforie Nord are the treatment of rheumatism, arthritis, relief of muscle ligament pain, eczema, psoriasis, neuro-dermatological diseases, acne, neuralgia, stress and insomnia. Moreover, it also has proven effects in the beauty segment, deeply cleansing the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles, eliminating toxins and reducing the appearance of cellulite.

All these are obtained from a natural mixture of algae, mud and organic substances found on the bottom of Lake Techirghiol, helped by a crustacean species adapted to this salinity, which filters this mud helping it to reach its final therapeutic form.

Today the resort is a place full of life and color that offers a multitude of resorts and tourist attractions for its guests.

One of the newest resorts here is Bacolux Koralio, part of the Bacolux Hotels Romania group. Inaugurated in 2022, the resort with 209 rooms and apartments has been fully renovated and is intended for leisure tourism but also includes facilities for business tourism.

It has a design inspired by the colors of the sea and sand, creating an elegant and relaxing environment in tune with the surrounding nature. The resort has a spacious restaurant, semi-Olympic swimming pool and two terraces, bringing entertainment with music, dances and contests every evening, exclusively for its guests.

The youngest guests can find here a lot of facilities for them, such as two swimming pools, water slides, playground, but also daily entertainment and animation programs, suitable for their age.
