“A feminine presence will always give a different version of the concept we are speaking about”

Casino Life & Business Magazine has talked to Alexandra Sampetru – Marketing Manager @ Casino Vesuvius.

How does a normal day in Casino Vesuvius looks like?
First, if routine is becoming part of my days, this would prove that somewhere I make a mistake. Anyway, the only “routine” I can afford as a marketing manager of this casino is to listen. I am listening what the clients are saying, I am listening to my employees, I am listening what the tourist are saying (potential clients) and based on the information collected, I develop new campaigns, new strategies. It is obvious that in the end everything is limited because we are working with budgets and this doesn’t let us develop new ideas every time, but every time when our clients are coming back to enjoy Casino shows us that the things are going in the right direction.

How this “men’s world” looks like from your perspective?
It is known that men are relating easier with other men, but a feminine presence will always give another version of the concept we are speaking about. And when we are talking about gaming and gambling, things are more exciting for a woman. It is not easy to penetrate the masculine “comfort area”, but once you are there, there are only opportunities. And it’s true, nothing is impossible when your conscience and solid moral principles are guiding you.

How does 2016 look like from the gaming perspective for our country?
Continue evolving, this is the current situation in gaming. Every year has brought innovation in this area and the situation can only move forward. Let’s hope that also the environment will support this evolution.

What are the plans for this year?
Plans for 2016 have started to be put in practice from February. Casino Vesuvius is continuing developing and the things has become visible now when Sala slot is considerably growing, not only with slot numbers, but also the surface. It is true, we are counting on our clients patience and understanding because we are managing major works. Not only that we will have last generation slot, but we will implement also an electronic roulette, all to satisfy our clients wishes. More than this, we have reconstruction plans because the anti-smoking law has put us in the position to consider our clients who is an anniversary year for Casino Vesuvius Brasov, so it is an important year for us.

Casino Life & Business Magazine has talked to Daniela Purcaru – PitBoss & Poker Manager @ Casino Vesuvius

How does a normal day in Casino Vesuvius looks like?
If “normality” would exist when is about to describe a day, or better say, a night in a casino, that would be good. Every night is unique even if there are some typical procedures about opening and closing the shift, there is not such a thing like routine. The passion for this job makes every shift to be special and full of energy.

How this “men’s world” looks like from your perspective?
It is more than evident that, being a woman, gambling world has advantages and disadvantages. But I would not call it a “men’s world”, even if it is obvious that things are evolving more natural when you are man. In my case I think I have found the secret recipe which has allowed me moving forward without making significant compromises. Ambition + Professionalism + Time based Experience = Career. It is about a equation I also take care to not stay out of, but when you keep up your moral qualities, your reputations stays on.

How does 2016 look like from the gaming perspective for our country?
Analyzing the actual situation, it is obvious that every year has come with changes, so gaming developing is notable. Personally, I believe that 2016 will not be an exception from this trend and will bring new people, new games and new experiences.

What are the plans for this year?
From my point of view, Casino Vesuvius is the place where I have found a good working environment and the continue opportunity to move forward, so I have nothing to do but keep doing the good job and wait to see what the future will bring for me.
