This year conference theme – Convergence – was ingeniously chosen, putting the gambling industry in the actual social – political context, taking into consideration the Romanian presidency at the EU Council. The Romanian Conference on Gambling is, every year, a good way of debating the most important themes of the gambling industry of Romania. We wanted, by the contribution of the Romanian Bookmakers and of the Association Joc Responsibil to this event, to offer important information necessary to all those involved in this field and to underline, once again, the need of the social involvement of all the operators. Our efforts, of everyone, have to be directed to the increase of the responsibility, compliance level and we want that this approach becomes a predominant feature of this industry, and Romania shall be an example of good practice in the area.

It was a pleasure taking part at the Romanian Conference of Gambling. Apart it was my first time in Bucharest I really enjoy meet new people from our Gambling sector and spent great time with them. I learn a lot of legislation over here and also some projects for the future. And the panel I took part was all about this. The innovation and trends in online gambling. At WeAreCasino we are looking to bring innovations and new aproach in the business and I saw that the audience appreciate it.

I recommend the Romanian Conference on Gambling, an event organized every year by the Casino Life & Business Magazine. This year’s edition, number 9 of gambling conferences’ the series, managed to bring together representatives from all sides of the gambling industry in Romania as well as a strong selection of speakers. Even more, it introduced a premiere, by including for the first time a panel dedicated to online gambling. This year I had the pleasure to moderate the panel regarding “News and technologies in land-based gambling” and to speak about „Convergence. Intelligence. Divergence” within the panel „Convergence in the local business environment in 2019”. The success of the conference was made possible also by the location – great inspiration to choose Le Chateau Bucharest – and by the impressive list of sponsors that included brands such as BetConstruct, BMM Testlabs, Novomatic, DGL PRO and Get’s Bet
