New York casino extended opening hours since February 14 following the Governor Andrew Cuomo’s extension of the closing time for bars and restaurants.
Following New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s extension of the closing time for bars and restaurants, Rivers Casino and Resort Schenectady’s new daily hours of operation will be from 6am to 11 pm.
The casino had been opened from 6 am until 10 pm. The new hours of operation came into effect yesterday, February 14.
Downtime is used for intensive property-wide deep cleaning in addition to the continuous sanitising taking place throughout the day.
Guests are required to wear face coverings, follow social distancing guidelines and have their temperature taken before entry. The Rivers sanitisation team works around the clock to keep the casino safe.
In addition to slots throughout the gaming floor, guests are able to play on all of the casino’s table games, including craps and roulette.
Plexiglass barriers separating slot machines, players and dealers have been installed for safety and guests are required to sanitise their hands before and after play.
The New York casinos were required to ensure that their air filtration systems meet certain requirements set by the state, similar to the requirements set for indoor shopping malls even since last September.
