New confirmations of the participation of moderators and speakers at the 11th edition of the Central European Gambling Summit – CEGS23.
These days we received new confirmations of participation from some of the moderators and speakers invited to the 11th edition of the Central European Gambling Summit expo-conference – CEGS23.
Thus, the MODERATORS confirmed the participation of the following:
Dan Iliovici – Vice President / ROMBET
With a rich experience in the gambling industry, the former President of the regulatory authority – the National Gambling Office -, Dan Iliovici is a personality who has fully contributed to the professionalization of this industry.
Over the years, he has been involved in transforming the Romanian market into a transparent and stable market with a strong responsible gaming component.
Dan Iliovici participates in the most important internal and international conferences and seminars dedicated to responsible gaming, player protection and social responsibility.
Dan Iliovici will moderate the panel entitled: “Gambling in the Balkans” on the second day of the event.
Flavius Florea – Counsel / Wolf Theiss
Flavius Florea is a Counsel with Wolf Theiss Bucharest office and Head of the TMT, IP & Data Protection team. He has more than 11 years experience in advising a broad range of clients, from high-profile international companies to vibrant start-ups. His areas of work include advising clients on the obligations of various Romanian and European privacy laws, data security, including in relation to mandatory data breach notifications, handling difficult data breaches, as well as advising clients on the broad spectrum of internet-related issues, including on e-commerce, copyrights, media and advertising laws and gambling laws.
Flavius also advises on related areas, including telecommunications, technology, online services, freedom of information, document retention and confidentiality. In the past years, Flavius has acted in complex projects for large corporate clients concerning the implementation of their GDPR compliance programmes.
Flavius has gained deep insight into several industries, including IT, consumer products, telecoms and automotive.
Flavius Florea holds a Master’s Degree in Private Law from University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law and also a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law. He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP-E) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals since 2017 and is a member of the Bucharest Bar.
Flavius Florea will moderate the panel entitled “Local legislation update” dedicated to the news from the legislation in force in our country, a panel that will take place on the first day of the conference.

Andrei Beu – Commercial Director / Gamingtec
Andrei eu is an experienced sales and client relationship manager with a commercial focus. Driven by targets and facts, he takes pride in providing the best customer support possible. As a Commercial Director in Gamingtec, his goals include sales planning, marketing strategy, and team management. In addition to his primary job functions, Andrei has been recognized for top communication skills and teamwork.
Andrei Beu will be a speaker in the panel entitled: “Digital era in gambling (II) / Games” on the second day of the event.
Mugurel Olariu – Director / RPD – Responsible for Data Protection
Mugurel Olariu is the founder and director of the company RPD – Responsible for Data Protection SRL, a company that carries out compliance audits with the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD), as well as specialized consultancy in the field of data protection.
Mugurel Olariu initiated and directly led the establishment of the Office of the Data Protection Officer of a public institution and developed the draft Code of Conduct for the protection of personal data in the gaming industry.
Mugurel Olariu holds a Law Degree from the Faculty of Law, a master’s degree in Administrative Law and Contemporary Public Administration and a master’s degree in National Security Information Management.
Mugurel Olariu will be a speaker in the panel entitled “European regulations with an impact on the gambling industry” on the second day of the conference.
Zoran Puhač – Secretary General / European Organisation for Gaming Law (EOGL) / Serbia
Zoran Puhač graduated from the Military Aviation Academy and the post-graduate courses of the Faculty of Political Sciences with a specialization in Crisis Communication. He successively held the positions of Director of Corporate Affairs at Mozzartbet and coordinator of the Association of Gaming Providers (AGP), as well as spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense.
Zoran Puhač will be the speaker in the panel: “Gambling in the Balkans” on the second day of the event.
The 11th edition of the Central European Gambling Summit – CEGS23, will take place on May 23-24, 2023 at the well-known Magic Place Grant location in Bucharest, Romania. The event will be accompanied by a strictly B2B boutique-style exhibition for the entire duration of the two days, but also by a super party that will take place on the first evening.
An important focus of the event will be on the digitization of the gambling industry, but also on solutions for traditional gambling.
The combined event will be held under the motto: Digital Era and Traditional Gambling.
Honorary President of the event is Silviu Pocora, Vice-President with duties of President of the National Office for Gambling.
