The story of our company starts in 1937 when ‘Uzinele Chimice Guban Timisoara’ were established – the factory that was manufacturing the best shoeware.
Later on, their activity diversified and so did the range of products – from lighting items to synthetic leather and leather-made products. In 1959, they started the shoeware line and, shortly, the Guban shoes had become a landmark of sophistication and top quality.
People remember them as the shoes with the most comfortable last and finest leather, shoes that women would keep wrapped carefully in paper in their dressing, as a sign of their social status.
Personalities such as Harry Truman, Sophia Loren or King Mihai of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen have owned and worn Guban shoes. Today, the entire activity is focused on women shoeware. The Guban shoes set themselves apart by feminity, sensuality, superior quality materials and thoroughly studied details.
