On April 11th ,The Seminar “GDPR or What Changes on May 25th , 2018!” approached the impact this change will have on the business environment.
Starting with May 25th , 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), – the most important changes made by the European Union in the management of personal data over the last 20 years-, will come into force.
The phenomenon will affect all companies that collect personal data about customers, suppliers or employees. On May 25th, 2018, the targeted companies must already have internally implemented the new data security procedures and measures.
A contrary situation could lead to a series of fines of up to 4% of the turnover or the equivalent of 20 million euros.
These new regulations bring up many questions to companies as a series of changes that require redefining data collection, management and storage streams are involved.
The structure of the seminar was divided into two sessions as follows: Legal Regulations and Solutions (CyberSecurity, what is GDPR, procedures and solutions) and the Business Perspective (The Impact of Changes on the Business Environment).
