The big kick-off is just a few hours away and it is time to share Euro 2024 predictions.
The tournament gets underway on June 14 and will run until the final on July 14, with the likes of England, France, Portugal, Spain and host nation Germany in contention for glory.
According to expert analysis for the competition, we pick out the teams that will get out of the six groups. I have also studied the odds to pick out several betting tips for the Euros 2024.
So without further ado, let’s get into football predictions for the fast-approaching event in Germany.
Prediction Group A
Germany – The host nation will have the advantage of playing in familiar stadiums in front of their own fans from start to finish this summer. The German squad contains talent from clubs like Bayern Munich and Europa League finalists Bayer Leverkusen, and Julian Nagelsmann might just be the leading coach at the tournament.
Scotland – Steve Clarke’s men over-performed in the Euros 2024 qualification process, beating Spain on their way to a comfortable top-two finish. Scotland do not possess a great deal of star quality, but their spirit, togetherness and organisation will help them in Group A.
Hungary – Many are predicting that Hungary could be dark horses among the 24 nations who qualified for the competition. They are in good form having impressed in the recent edition of the Nations League, while Marco Rossi’s team have shown they can score goals against strong opposition.
Switzerland – The favourites to join Germany in the top two of Group A are Switzerland, but they should not take their task lightly. The Swiss are regulars at international tournaments, though, and that experience could give them an edge over the likes of Hungary and Scotland.

Prediction Group B
Spain – It does not take an expert to work out that Spain are strong contenders to lift the trophy in Germany. They will dominate possession in all their games, yet they must ensure they score enough goals. The absence of Gavi is a blow and their manager Luis de la Fuente is not a big name.
Croatia – Croatia knocked Brazil out of the last World Cup as the perennial overachievers punched above their weight again. Any analysis and Euro 2024 predictions will take Croatia seriously this summer, yet they would have hoped for a kinder group than this one.
Italy – The Italians will arrive at the 2024 euro’s as the defending champions, but even their own fans do not predict a repeat of their achievement three years ago. This one is not a vintage Italy squad, but Luciano Spaletti is a gifted coach and it is never wise to write the Azzurri off.
Albania – Winning just one of their three matches would be an accomplishment for Albania, who face a huge challenge to get just one positive result in Group B. A team that could only draw 0-0 with the Faroe Islands last year will not feature too prominently in any 2024 prediction.

Prediction Group C
Slovenia – Slovenia finished above Finland and Kazakhstan to secure a top-two finish in their qualification group. They are the main underdog here, though, with most forecasts predicting an early exit for Matjaz Kek’s charges.
Denmark – Denmark sprang a few surprises on their way to the semi-finals of Euro 2020, but they were disappointing at the last World Cup. They do have a handful of players performing in the Champions League, but Kasper Hjulmand may have taken this team as far as he can.
Serbia – Serbia only picked up one point at the World Cup in Qatar, but all their matches were entertaining. They have a good opportunity to reach the knockout phase, with all-time leading scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic still involved.
England – With the likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, Gareth Southgate has some of the best players in Europe at his disposal, so it is no surprise that England are the favourites to go all the way this summer. It is difficult to envisage them having too many problems in Group C.

Prediction Group D
Poland – Reaching the round of 16 will be tough for Poland, who beat Estonia and Wales in the qualifying play-offs. Robert Lewandowski should score some goals, but the rest of the team looks mediocre at best.
Netherlands – Ronald Koeman’s pre-tournament analysis will have led him to conclude that the Netherlands should not take anything for granted in Group D. Still, most projections expect them to advance, with Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk likely to be key.
Austria – Austria got to the knockout stage of the last Euros and they have a chance of springing a few surprises this summer. They have been buoyed by the news that ex-Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick has rejected Bayern Munich to remain in charge of a national team that excelled in the qualifiers.
France – World Cup winners in 2018, Didier Deschamps is now looking to oversee a successful European Championship campaign. Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann will be vital for France, who draw their talent from far beyond Ligue 1. Their goal will be a place in the final at a minimum.

Prediction Group E
Belgium – Several players from Belgium’s golden generation have now departed the scene, but the presence of Kevin De Bruyne, top scorer Romelu Lukaku and others makes the Red Devils the clear favourite in Group E. Domenico Tedesco’s team can be expected to play some good football this summer.
Slovakia – Slovakia finished five points clear of Luxembourg in qualification for Euro 2024, where I predict they will be an underdog in Group E. Their manager Francesco Calzona has also been in charge of Napoli in recent months.
Romania – Many European Championship projections envisage an early elimination from Romania, who finished with zero wins on their last appearance in this competition in 2016. Still, the draw has not been too harsh on Edward Iordanescu’s charges, who may be being underrated.
Ukraine – Ukraine will be aiming to reach the knockout stage of Euro 2024, but I’m predicting that it will be touch-and-go for the team that qualified by beating Iceland in the play-offs. Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is the man Ukraine will look to for inspiration.

Prediction Group F
Turkey – Turkey turned in a disappointing performance at Euro 2020, but a group of players that includes Serie A star Hakan Calhanoglu will be targeting a last-16 berth. However, Turkey’s overall record at recent tournaments is underwhelming at best.
Georgia – The only new country at this year’s Euros, Georgia’s players and fans will be counting down the days until they make their debut after beating Greece in the play-offs. Some of their players will not be used to playing at such stadiums, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli is capable of scoring goals at his level.
Portugal – I think that Portugal, the champions at Euro 2016, will secure a place in the knockout rounds without too much difficulty. Cristiano Ronaldo is still going strong, but this Portugal team contains a huge amount of talent in every area of the pitch. Any Euro forecasts should have them as strong candidates to triumph.
Czech Republic – Reaching the knockout phase is the objective for the Czech Republic – and as you can see from the 2024 prediction below, I think it will be close. The Czechs qualified by finishing in second place in their group, four points clear of Poland.
