For a large numbers of those attending EAG International, time spent on the Sega Amusements Europe stand SEGA will form an integral part of their visit. Sega’s roots stretch back almost 40 years and the company has never lost its capacity for delivering player excitement.
Today Sega Amusements Europe has earned itself a privileged position as an iconic designer, developer, manufacturer and distributor of a vast range of amusement products.
At EAG 2015 the Sega Amusements stand will be loaded with innovative high-earning games and, if previous years are anything to go by, staff will be kept busy right up to the very last moments of the show.
The star attraction will undoubtedly be Showdown Special Attraction, a ground-breaking new racing game, setting the standard for a whole new generation of products. General Manager, Justin Burke explains: “Showdown is from Codemasters who developed Sega’s previous hit driver GRID, and incorporates technologies never before seen in amusement products. We’ve recently returned from IAAPA where Showdown took the event by storm. This game takes the player experience to a whole new level,” revealed Justin.
To describe Showdown as a video game would be an injustice. The game may be 4 player linked for head to head racing with action playing out on a 65” LED display, accompanied by Heavy Rock from ‘Wreckage Radio.’ Drivers can enjoy all the thrills of contact racing, choosing between Demolition Derby, Race-Off close contact racing, Knockout, or the Crossroads figure of eight experience.
Showdown features pivot motion technology, tilting the seat as drivers swerve to deal with pinch points and obstacles littering the track. An authentic dashboard and full surround sound add authenticity to the Showdown experience.
The SEGA Amusements portfolio always features strong licensed brands and 2015 will be no exception. Head to stand 550 to see the spectacular new 80 inch Super Deluxe Transformers Human Alliance video amusement game along with the new 60 inch Deluxe Plants vs Zombies™ video redemption game. Still on a video redemption theme, the new 42inch Pirates of Monster Island will also be making its European Debut.
Kung Fu Panda Dojo Mojo from ICE is a stunning new video redemption game based on the blockbuster Dreamworks movie. Players must destroy targets that appear on the screen by kung fu chopping the targets, with the largest scores delivering the most tickets.
Also look out for Gold Fishin’ where the player lands ping pong balls in various targets to work their way up the ticket bonus trail. This carnival classic follows on from the hits Milk Jug Toss and Down The Clown, all ‘must haves’ for any Skill Wall.
Prize vending will also feature strongly with the new, compact footprint Mini Key Master , designed for the smaller locations and bar and pub market.
Grab and Win, the result of a collaboration with ICE to design the ultimate crane will also feature, along with Alice’s Wonderland, a new single-player pusher, both set to create a good deal of interest.
New for 2015 is the new three player Pirates shooting gallery featuring 14 targets and digital sound, whilst on a similar theme, Captain Black’s Treasure, a single shooter following on from the successful Sideshow.
For the younger player, Hello Kitty Air Hockey will be very appealing and, if the colour pink equates to revenue, very profitable! Justin Burke is particularly proud of the prize merchandize that Sega Prize Europe will be revealing for 2015. “The team has worked very hard to secure one of our best ranges ever. We’ll have a range of highly innovative licensed merchandise from Plants vs Zombies™, Hello Kitty and Doodle Jump, to mention but a few. Also on display will be an impressive range from, Tokio Technology, our own proprietary technology brand, including smart watches, tablets and blue tooth speakers,” confirmed Justin.
Also present will be the team from Sega Total Solutions, who are the UK’s biggest supplier of redemption tickets; they will be on hand to discuss all technical and spares needs.
With such an extensive and impressive range of games and merchandise on display, visitors to the Sega Amusement Stand at EAG might only be lacking one thing……..time!
