Stanley Ho, the legendary casino tycoon of Macau is about to end officially his career, years after having ended unofficially as the mogul suffered effects of a stroke.
The 97-year-old patriarch of the Ho family will retire as chairman of STDM.
Ian Fok will take over as chairman. Daughter Pansy Ho and the Fok Foundation, which combined own 53 per cent of STDM, have agreed to work together to turn SJM around.
Stanley Ho owns 54 per cent of SJM and numerous other properties, including 14 of Macau’s 30 casinos and 31 per cent of Macau International Airport.
