Number one, again

The Cannes victory makes the famed poker player be the only one who can boast with a back-to-back victory: WSOP Main Event and the Main Event WSOPE. The points he earned in the WSOP Player Of The Year ranking placed the American on the first position, thus claiming the place he lost by a whisker last year to Ben Lamb.
Phil Hellmuth is the first man in history to have won both WSOP Main Events in North America and Europe. He has nine ‘in the money’ rankings at WSOP events in 2012, including four final tables. His earnings have reached $4.3 million this year.
