Year 2011 started well for the Romanian Daniel Negreanu who officially became world’s richest poker player.
Although he only managed to finish third at the Super High Roller tour worth $100,000 within the Poker Stars Caribbean Adventure, Negreanu won one million dollars, a winning which propelled him to the first position in the top of the biggest winnings in poker in his entire career.
The total winnings from live tours obtained by the Romanian born in Canada reached with this last sum the value of $14,116,192, Negreanu thus exceeding the previous holder of this position, Phil Ivey.
