Casino Life & Business Magazine has organized on 10th of October in Ramada Majestic Hotel, with the help of the Romanian Casino Association and having as media partner the Money Channel television, its first event dedicated to the casino industry in Romania.
The event was called “The Casino Industry. The lack of legislative agreement in the unique market”, and it was a debate regarding this market and its continuous expansion, which tackled the nowadays problems from the field of gambling, and the new legislative project which concerns this sector and also the stipulations of the new Fiscal Code. In this event took part Mr. Sorin Constantinescu, the president of the Romanian Casino Association , Mr. Cristian Pascu, the president of The Romanian Association of Gaming Organizers and Producers, and also officials from the National Office of Preventing and Controlling the Money Laundering, from the General Department of Romanian Police, the Financial Guard and from the Institute of Study and Research in Terrorism. Next to those, also took part in the event the representatives of the casinos and gambling organizers from Romania: ADMIRAL, MAXBET, QUEEN Casino, BASTIONE Casino, and RITZIO Casino.
The discussions and the consultations between the representatives of the associations, of the casinos and the present officials had as main subject the modifications of the Fiscal Code regarding the taxing methods for the players’ prizes and also the way the money washing can be prevented in the new context, a context that, in the casinos’ representatives idea, could make it easier.
The discussion continued in the evening in the Money Channel’s studios, during the Fame and Money show, where the idea of the impossibility of taxing the prizes of the players as the new Fiscal Code demands was discussed again. After that, the event was also broadcast by the TVR 2 Channel during the Top 7 show, and the following day, for the same subject, of the modifications brought to the Fiscal Code, Mr. Sorin Constantinescu was invited in TVR 2’s news studio.
The event in Ramada Hotel was the first one from a series of events organized by the Casino Magazine; the same thing could be said about the TV shows realized in collaboration to our magazine, shows that will become more and more interesting from now on.
