The representatives of the gaming industry in Romania reunited Wednesday, 19th of January, at JW Marriott Hotel. Such representatives included Cristian Pascu, executive president of AOPJNR, Michelle Cummins, manager at Bucharest Casino, Richard Munroe, researchdevelopment manager and Pintilei George, manager – both from Casino Vesuvius Brasov -, Marius Stoi, director of DGL PRO, Andrei Frimescu, manager at Palace Casino and Mihnea Popescu, owner of “Casino Life & Business Magazine”. The event, organized by Smaranda Serban, an Independent Agent for Europe, Representative of MGM MIRAGE, Las Vegas Nevada, in collaboration with CASINO Life & Business Magazine, was occasioned by Oliver Spier’s presence in Bucharest, assistant vice-president for Central and Eastern Europe, MGM RESORTS INTERNATIONAL MARKETING – Las Vegas, Nevada.
Oliver Spier and Smaranda Serban are in Romania in order to identify new business opportunities both in the domain of tourism and in the field of entertainment and casino. “We are extremely delighted with what we found in Eastern Europe, Romania being located strategically, a place which we think can develop a lot of business opportunities in domains such as tourism and casino activity. Romanians are educated, open-minded people who seek to have a better and more beautiful life. We are hoping that through a sustained collaboration we can create a special atmosphere here and new attractive spots” declared Oliver Spier for “Casino Life & Business Magazine”. “We want to make Romania a base from where to further develop various activities throughout all of Europe.
Moreover, we want to create a tourist flow and even a business flow between the USA and Romania. Bucharest needs new attractions” added Smaranda Serban. The two announced that MGM Hospitality could open in Romania a tourist agency as a first step of a more solid relationship regarding various economic segments and services between the two countries. Furthermore, guests declared thrilled with the quality of the publication “Casino Life & Business Magazine”, considering it a real possibility of communication between Romanians and Americans, with reference to the entertainment segment.
